well, seeing as it is fathers day i decided i should probably pay a little tribute to my dad on here (even though i'm pretty sure he never reads this), but nonetheless...
i'm thoroughly convinced i have the best dad in the world. yes, the very best, and i will tell you why:
1. he is one of the hardest workers i've ever met. he supports our family so well, never murmuring a single complaint.
2. he treats my mother like a queen, and just seeing them together you can tell how much love and respect he has for her.
3. when something bad happens and i'm stressing out (which happens quite often) my dad is the first person i call and he can always calm me down and make me look at things logically.
4. he's hilarious! he has this somewhat sarcastic sense of humor and makes the most random and outrageously funny comments.
5. he pretends to be the tough guy, but deep down he's incredibly compassionate and loving (though he'd never admit it).
6. he's not afraid to be himself and he's got a quiet confidence about him.
7. he's beyond talented, and he's always working on improving all of his talents. he's a phenomenal photographer, woodworker/craftsman, chef, and guitarist, among other things.
8. he's so smart and has such deep insights into so many things. i love talking to him about anything and everything and i always come away with new perspectives on life.
9. he would help anyone out without thinking twice about it.
10. he has an incredibly strong testimony and you can see how much he loves the Lord by simply watching the way he lives his life. he's been such an amazing example to me of what living a Chist-like life is all about.
i'm one lucky girl to have a dad like mine.
i love you dad.
